New Year's Eve...whoo hooo!!! Except not exactly. Stephanie woke up feeling very under the weather. There were plans to go see Matt and Andrea's new home and celebrate the new year there. Seeing as Stephanie did not get out of her "comfy" clothes all day, this did not happen. Sad. Stephanie was asleep more than she was awake that day. She rallied to make it to a family dinner but the immediately headed home and to the couch. Not the exciting new year she or Kevin had planned, but they were together and that is all that mattered. They still popped a bottle of champagne (at 9pm) and toasted to the new year. Stephanie woke up at 11:55 and while in bed begged Kevin to get out and watch the countdown. This happened and then shortly after the midnight kiss, both were fast asleep.
The next morning after lots of sleep, Stephanie began to feel better and since it is rumored that Laura got her sick, took her up on the offer of a Turkey dinner at the Riggins house on New Years Day. This would be the Riggins very FIRST Turkey and boy was it amazing. Ron and Barb were also present for this amazing meal and offered much appreciated support during the cooking procedures (Stephanie took mental notes of all the advice Barb offered, as it will definitely be used in the future).
To accompany the Turkey, there were mashed potatoes with gravy and yummy carrots. The meal was amazing and everything turned out perfect. The Princes hope for this to become a new tradition of the Riggins, having them over for delicious New Years Day turkey... just sayin.
It was the perfect way to start off the new year. We are looking forward to everything this year has to offer and look forward to what is ahead. Prayers and love to all of our family and friends, may this year bring you happiness, love and achievable goals/dreams that you have.
